The Bharat Technology and Impact Accelerator (Bharatia), in collaboration with the Climate and Energy Transition Finance Initiative (CETFI), Danish Industri (DI), India Danish Chamber of Commerce, and under lead support of Embassy of India, Copenhagen, is pleased to announce the India-Denmark Innovation and Investments Summit.
India is driving transformative change in renewable energy and sustainability. The country has set ambitious targets, including deploying 500GW of renewable energy, producing 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually, and reaching a 20% biofuel blending target—marking a significant step towards decarbonisation.
Realising these targets requires an extraordinary scale of innovation and investment. Estimates indicate that India will need/invest over USD 2 trillion by 2030 to support renewable energy expansion, green hydrogen production, biofuels, biogas, and sustainable agriculture, alongside key initiatives in electric mobility, forestry, waste management, air pollution control, river rejuvenation, and water resource management.
