The role requires deep expertise in technology commercialisation, market entry, and scaling pathways, combined with the ability to engage credibly with global technology providers, OEMs, policymakers, and project developers.

The Lead Manager will be responsible for stewarding technologies across the full ETV lifecycle—from validation and FOAK demonstration to NOAK replication—while ensuring robust IP protection, monetisation pathways, and indigenisation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead indigenisation strategies for manufacturing processes, components, and system integration.

  • Coordinate closely with project development teams to align technology readiness with project pipelines.

Technical & Commercial Evaluation

  • Apply and oversee TRL / CRL (Technology Readiness Level / Commercial Readiness Level) scoring methodologies.

  • Assess technology performance, scalability, cost curves, and localisation potential.

  • Develop and evaluate technology monetisation models, including licensing, JV structures, EPC-led deployment, and platform-based scaling.

Intellectual Property & Governance

  • Guide IP strategy including licensing, protection, freedom-to-operate assessments, and India-specific adaptations.

  • Ensure robust documentation, governance, and stakeholder alignment across the ETV process.

Thought Leadership & Representation

  • Represent the ETV programme in high-level engagements with government bodies, investors, multilateral agencies, and global partners.

  • Contribute to programme design, continuous improvement, and strategic positioning of ETV nationally and internationally.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Education:

    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science (mandatory)

    • Postgraduate qualification: MBA / MSc / MTech (mandatory)

  • Strong grasp of technology monetisation and deployment models.

  • Proven experience in indigenisation and localisation of manufacturing and supply chains.

  • Hands-on familiarity with TRL / CRL frameworks and technology assessment methodologies.
